Galaxy World Cup 2022

The Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy World Cup was organised in July 2022 by LoicMDF and JXD333. It was the first World Cup on that game and it consisted of 10 countries. The tournament was FFI-like with 2 groups of 5 teams and the top 2 of each group would go to the final stage. It was won by Spain, with behind them France, Brazil and Benelux.

At that time, competition on Galaxy was at its prime, and LoicMDF thought it would be the best time to organise a World Cup on that game. It sounded like a wonderful idea since there were already world cups organised on other games such as SD and Strikers. Since there was nobody who was up for organising it. They took the matter into their own hands and organised it with the help of other community leaders.

The tournament had its lot of difficulties, the main reasons why no galaxy world cups were organised in the past was (1) The lag, (2) The length and (3) The lack of players. The majority of players were mainly french and spanish. It was a great struggle to find players from other nations. The crashes in middle of matches were also a big issue and a galaxy match can last up to an hour, so they had to limit it to Bo3 format.

Trivia

Many people were saying that this event was fated to flop due to low popularity of Galaxy and Inazuma World which was supposed to happen in parallel, however it succeeded against all odds.
This event made use of modded kits in the game.
This event was supposed to be a farewell tournament due to Victory Road coming out in the upcoming year 2023 and the assumption that players would probably abandon previous games. However the game did not release that year.
